Just wanted to share some details on my particular setup. I started out with a bunch of suspension mods I installed this spring: Tein Flex Coilover Suspension Tein EDFC Controller Powertrix Front Competition Tension Rods Powertrix Front Competition Camber Arms Powertrix Rear Competition Upper Camber Arms Powertrix Rear Competition Traction Control Arms Powertrix HICAS Eliminator Urethane Bushing Master KitThe alignment sheet shows that it was off quite a bit when we first measured it due to all of the new suspension pieces and the Tein Flex suspension. I wanted to dial in more over steer in my setup to help on long carousel and decreasing radius corners at speeds below 50mph. The new alignment specs should spice things up a little.
The corner balance worked out pretty well. It just took a while to get the ride hight set. We had to take the tires on and off a couple of times to access the the threaded perches and lock them in properly. All ride hight measurements were measured from the ground to the top apex of the fender well. It was a little hard to see how the car looked on the rack so we took our best swag at it. After looking at the car's stance for a couple of weeks now I believe that the front is a little to low. To put things in perspective I compared the ride hight to Whitepearlz's ride. My side mirrors were about 3/4" - 1" lower than his. His car uses Eibach Pro kit.

After I had all of this done I drove a touring secesion at Blackhawk Raceway in South Beloit, Ill. Overall driving impressions were pretty good. High speed corners and short sharp corners were a lot better than before, however I still have some understeer problems. A few days after the event it felt like a had a flat spot in my left rear tire, thought nothing of it at the time, I figured the tires are down to almost no tread anyway but probably enough in them for the rest of the season. Wrong. One of my friends were driving behind me and callled me on his cell phone. He said that your rear tire looks like its going to fall off wabbling. After a quick inspection half of the inner sidewall is bulging out about a 1/2"!! I guess the tire layers were starting to delaminate. So, now I need tires. I wanted something crazy, and would stick better than what I had (potenza S03's discontinued). I decided to go with the Yokohama Advan A-048 R-compund tires. They hurt the wallet a little but they should last me about 2-2.5 seasons, I hope :) Fronts are 265-35-18 and the rears are 295-30-18.

I have a difficult time to put in words what a difference those tires made. Grip, grip, and more grip. Understeer has decreased a little. I will be going back down to Blackhawk in Sept. I should get a better idea on how this setup performs. Before I go, another alignment and corner balance is in order. I will be eliminating the HICAS and installing the adjustable sway bar links. I forgot to disconnect them last time the car was corner balanced, oops. I am also considering to change my toe in the front to zero degrees, increase my front camber to about -1.7 degrees, and increase the rear camber a little to about -1.5 degrees. Those 295 just kissed the inner fender well today while driving over some large rolling bumps, perhaps a little more negative in the rear might help things out.
